My esteemed members,
It is my pleasure to welcome our newest members of Phi Pi who were inducted Saturday, July 17, 2021. Congratulations to all of you! We are so happy to have you as part of the Phi Pi family. Remember to access the Circle to set up your profile and review our chapter news and events. Get “involved” with our Membership Involvement Committee- they are looking for talented members to help with programs, events, educational offerings, and communication needs. They meet the 3rd Thursday of every month- simply respond the invite link on the circle or in this newsletter to join in the fun!
As we begin to see the rise in numbers of patients hospitalized with the Covid Delta Variant, it is more important than ever to find joy and happiness wherever and whenever possible. I wanted to share something I first read last year around this very time and which remains relevant to today. It was written by Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who is better known as Pope Francis, the current head of the Catholic Church.
“Remember that to be happy is not to have a sky without a storm, a road without accidents, work without fatigue, relationships without disappointment. To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in battles, security in the stage of fear, love in discord. It is not only to enjoy the smile, but also to reflect on the sadness. It is not only to celebrate the successes but to learn lessons from the failures. It is not only to feel happy with the applause, but to be happy in anonymity. When you make a mistake, start over all over again. For only then will you be in love with life. Never give up on the people who love you. Never give up on happiness, for life is an incredible show”.
Please continue to do the good works you do each day. Stay safe, stay healthy, and may your life become a garden of opportunities for joy and happiness,
| Be Blessed,
Phi Pi President
It is with great excitement that we share that our chapter will be awarded our 2nd Chapter Key Award at the Sigma Biennium in November! Thank you to all of our members that made this dream a reality.
