Seeking a Chapter Leader Intern!
The Beta Iota Leadership Development Advisory Council invites active members of the Beta Iota Chapter to apply to become a Chapter Leadership Intern. The purpose of the Beta Iota Chapter Leadership Intern Program is designed to develop active Beta Iota members who exhibit leadership potential for positions of leadership at the chapter level. This includes committee, advisory council and Board of Director positions. The preparation process also introduces the intern to leadership opportunities at the regional and international levels of Sigma.
The criteria and requirements in addition to submitting the application form are:
1. Inducted into Sigma and is an active Beta Iota Chapter member (pays annual dues). Graduate students are eligible.
2. Submits a well-written paper or video articulating the (a) reason he/she joined Sigma, (b) rationale for seeking the Chapter Leadership Intern position, (c) goals for serving as chapter leadership intern and congruent with strategic goals of Sigma, and (d) actions/plans to achieve goals and provide service to the organization.
3. Commits to fulfilling an internship for two years
4. Commits to serve in an appointed chapter leader position (i.e., non-elected committee or advisory council member) at the completion of the first year.

Awards for Excellence in Nursing
The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding, active* member of Beta Iota Chapter who demonstrates excellence in nursing. You may nominate an active Beta Iota member who meets the eligibility criteria. Please download and complete the nomination form and submit it to Rich Prior at priorrm@ucmail.uc.edu by August 31 each year.
