Volunteer with disaster-preparedness District 2 Public Health
Volunteer opportunity for Tau Psi Members.
Emergency Preparedness and Response for District 2 Public Health will be holding the following disaster training events.
8/24 – NGHS is a decontamination event. Victims will probably have some baby powder or like substance put on them to simulate contamination. They should wear comfy clothes that can get wet (they really are going to go through the deluge process) and dry clothes to change into.
10+ would be great for this event 8am-12pm
10/25 – Region B Healthcare Coalition - victims will be moulaged (I don’t know the extent of injuries just yet). The scenario will be a weather event, possible tornado touchdown.
#’s of victims needed for various sites:
Gainesville – 25 – 50
Braselton – 10
Dahlonega – 10
8am-12pm
