  • Unlikely Addict Presentation

Please come join us for a free presentation presented by Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society at Carroll University

    An Unlikely Addict

Kristin Waite-Labott has been a nurse since 1991 and has also been in recovery from alcohol and opioid use disorders since 2005. Please join us to hear the amazing, touching, true story, of her addiction and recovery.  It’s time for us to openly discuss the topic of substance use disorders in healthcare professionals.   Kristin encourages others who may be struggling to find hope and healing, increase the conversation around substance use disorder in healthcare, and decrease the stigma that negatively affects this disease.

    (CEU’s will be offered)

  • For such a devastating illness, we have to work together

    TAU MU SUPPORTS ALS RESEARCH

The ALS Association’s Trial Capacity Awards are helping break down barriers—especially those impacting currently underserved populations—and allowing for potential new therapies to be tested faster and right where patients live. And the many initiatives to accelerate diagnosis means we will have the ability to identify the disease sooner, and even pre-illness so we can work toward prevention.
