Event Details:
Event: CTX Nursing & Stakeholder Policy Summit
Date: Monday, November 2, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Texas A&M University-Central Texas, Warrior Hall, Bill Yowell Conference Center (BYCC)
Overall Summit Objective: The goal of the summit is to bring together community organizations, healthcare leaders, and nursing advocates to turn our shared priorities into practical policy goals. Together, we will build practical advocacy skills, align regional efforts, and create a unified voice to improve healthcare access, workforce safety, and public health outcomes across Central Texas.
Civic Engagement & Election Day Alignment: Holding this event on the Monday right before Election Day is intentional. It serves as a timely reminder of the power of civic engagement. As we prepare for upcoming elections and look ahead to the next legislative session, this summit will provide a forum to discuss key issues and strengthen our collective influence on the policies that directly impact our local communities.
Call for Poster Presenters: We are actively inviting poster presentations for the summit. If you, your students, or your colleagues have projects, research, or initiatives related to clinical practice, education, or relevant healthcare topics, we encourage you to submit an abstract. Abstracts can be submitted online via our review portal ( https://cttamus.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4Ho4l3NRn1LZhC6 ).
A formal invitation with registration details, agenda specifics, and speaker information will follow soon.
We hope you will join us in driving meaningful healthcare policy action in Central Texas!
