Dear Psi Pi Members, 

What an exciting time to be a Chapter of the largest international honor society for nurses! Sigma Theta Tau International is the leading organization in the professional development of nurse leaders around the world. Did you know that, at last count, over 100,000 nurse leaders around the world are Sigma nurses? Did you know that our Chapter has 106 members and are continuing to grow? Psi Pi Chapter membership, officers, and board of directors are an excellent reflection of Sigma’s commitment to leadership development. 

Our current members are involved in every aspect of healthcare leadership throughout nursing clinical practice, research, nursing education, and administration within our local and surrounding communities. Psi Pi Chapter’s members embody Sigma’s vision and mission. As President, I challenge all of us to do more this year for our current and future nurses, and our profession.

Consider Sigma’s President Dr. Sandra Garmon Bibb’s Call to Action for 2024-2026 

Represent: Reflect, Respect, Respond. Dr. Garmon Bibb calls Sigma nurses to reflect on communicating a caring culture, respect by cultivating cultural humility, and responding by championing contemporary practice. I believe we can do this! Let’s respond to the call to action. Let’s make 2024-2025 a year of opportunities to become more involved with our chapter to address community healthcare needs, our professions’ future nurses, and develop our membership as representatives of Sigma’s longstanding vision as nurse leaders transforming global healthcare. It may be a big ask but we can get there one step at a time!
