The Sigma Omega Omega chapter is here to support your personal and professional development well beyond graduation. One of our top priorities over the next year is to improve communications about Sigma benefits to enrich your membership experience. We are doing this through collaborations with NUSNA, by presenting at the RN Orientation Days, and by educating nursing staff/instructors during departmental meetings. The following are suggested starting points to begin your exploration and engagement with Sigma.

1. Login and "Favorites" our chapter homepage at Home - Omega Omega Chapter (sigmanursing.org) [Main location for chapter events/updates] Our membership meetings occur every other month on the second Tuesday at 5:00 pm PST. - Next meeting 10/12/21

2. Login to The Circle (Sigma's networking platform) at Home - The Circle (sigmanursing.org) Check out the Communities of Interest and Career pages to join a group, ask questions, search for a career mentor or coach, and/or look for employment and volunteer opportunities. Recommendation: Register for "What's Next? A virtual Tour of Sigma", Check out the Global Member Forum
Sigma's Global Member Forum is an open-topic community to network with other nurses and learn about what's going on at Sigma. The Career Advice Forum connects you with advisors who can help answer your career related questions and provide resources.

3. Explore Home Page - Sigma Membership (sigmanursing.org) for CEUs/CNEs/CPDs. Recommendation: Surviving Your First Years as a Nurse online course
4. "Like" us on Facebook @SigmaOmegaOmega
5. Get involved as a committee chair or member, board member or volunteer.

We are fiercely hopeful that we will be able to meet in-person one day very soon. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out for any questions, inquiries or assistance. We are here for YOU.

  • 28th Annual Sigma SO Cal Odessey Conference - Exhibitor

Exhibitor at the 28th annual Sigma SoCal Odyssey conference on October 3 and 4, 2024. The conference is entitled Reflecting on a Need: Responding with an Action.

The event will be held at the Sharp Prebys Innovation and Education Center, San Diego. This conference is a joint effort by 21 universities in Southern California and represents 17 chapters of Sigma. We anticipate an audience of 300 participants. The attendees represent nurse leaders, educators, practitioners, and nursing students. Many of the students who attend are BSN students nearing completion of their program and they are actively seeking employment opportunities to pursue upon graduation.

The benefits of participating in our conference include special recognition at the conference and in the proceedings for our sponsors, in addition to all the exhibitor benefits. Exhibitors receive an exhibit table, proceedings recognition, continental breakfasts and lunches for two exhibitors per day. We also have one-day options available. See application form for additional details and submission information. The exhibitor space is limited so if you are interested in participating, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reserve a space for you. If you have any questions or need further information please contact Marilyn Klakovich at marilyn@omicrondelta.net.

    Sincerely,

     Marilyn Klakovich and Kathleen Taylor
