  • Our Chapter's Response to Recent Harmful Remarks

    Dear Mu Chapter Colleague,

In light of recent allegations involving Sigma CEO Lucas Davis, we, the leadership team of Mu chapter, want to share our stance.

The Mu Chapter of Sigma condemns all forms of racist, sexist, discriminatory, and disrespectful language, behavior and actions. We strongly reject any rhetoric or behavior that demeans, marginalizes, or disrespects individuals based on race, gender or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.

Such conduct is fundamentally inconsistent with our chapters’ values, the nursing profession, and our commitment to dignity, inclusion, and respect for all people. Our chapter is strengthened by the diversity of our members’ backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and experiences. We remain steadfast in fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where every individual is valued and treated with respect.

As nurses, scholars, and leaders, we affirm our commitment to equity, belonging, and the respectful treatment of all members of our communities.

The Mu Chapter stands united in upholding these principles and creating an environment where all can thrive.

    In solidarity,

          Your Mu Chapter Leadership Team
