Hi Everyone,

The Iota Epsilon Chapter’s Induction on November 14, 2024, was a lovely event as 29 new members joined our chapter.  Thank you for supporting this chapter event and our new members.

The second chapter event will occur tomorrow, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Towson University North Eastern Campus (TUNE) at 510 Thomas Run Road Bel Air Maryland, 21015 from 5pm-7pm in the lower-level cafe. 

The event at TUNE is a SIGMA community outreach event to celebrate leadership, research, and nursing excellence. It will be similar to the induction, with research poster presentations, light refreshments, and music by Saxl Rose on the saxophone and Adam Lily on the drums.  

Degree Completion partners, faculty, and students have been invited to this event to celebrate nursing excellence and the amazing achievements of our students, faculty, and partners.  Your friends and family are welcome to attend this event.

Hi Everyone,

The Iota Epsilon chapter is hosting two events this fall.  The first event is the chapter induction of new members on November 14th.  Please see the details in the chapter induction message sent last week.

Hi Everyone,

I hope all is well.  Thank you for your membership and leadership support of our chapter. 

The chapter has an immediate need for a Governance Chair.  Please review the chapter by laws and let me know if you would like to service our chapter in this position.  The chapter also needs a governance committee member.  Please let me know if you would like to serve and I will update your name for the Iota Epsilon chapter leaders.

It has been an honor serving as your chapter president for almost 5 years.  I have learned so much and am thankful for the experience.  I will be stepping down from as president of our chapter in the spring semester. The Iota Epsilon SIGMA Chapter Induction will take place at the Towson University Health Professions Building, 8000 York Road in Towson, Maryland on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Please arrive at 4:30 p.m. and go to the second level of the new Health Professions building in the auditorium.  Parking is available in the Towson Town Parking garage.

This year commemorates the 50^th anniversary of Towson University’s Nursing Department and the 38^th year of the Iota Epsilon SIGMA Chapter.  The event will feature research poster presentations displaying practice and scholarship initiatives.  Please consider sharing a research or practice poster for the event.

While touring the research posters attendees will enjoy light refreshments and music.  The entertainment for the evening will feature cool jazz by Saxl Rose on saxophone with Adam Lilly on the drums.
