Zeta Lambda Chapter

Sigma Theta Tau- Zeta Lamda Chapter welcomed 22 new members on April 20, 2024! A luncheon was held at the Hilton hotel to welcome new inductees.  Dr. Lauren Succheralli presented her dissertation titled "Intra-Professional Teamwork and Collaboration Among Pre-licensure Nursing Students". The research looked at intra-professional teamwork and how it related to different types of undergraduate nursing programs including diploma, associate and baccalaureate students. Dr. Lora Hromadik presented the Shoop award to Rachel Onderko who also received $500 to help her start her nursing career.  Below are the names of the students who were accepted to the Zeta Lambda Chapter this Spring. Research Education Day was held in the Fall semester, with students presenting various PICO projects. Dr. Janis Barner then presented her dissertation titled Nursing Student Transition and Adjustments Within a Baccalaureate Nursing Program.

ZL Chapter's Spring 2022 Induction Ceremony was held on April 23 at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana. Our guest speaker was Cody Dreibelbis, a senior nursing student at IUP who shared a moving presentation, along with research titled "Nursing: Caring for those with Special Needs".  Cody discussed how this topic is close to his heart due to having a brother with special needs, and presented ways that the health care profession could improve to help this demographic of patients.  Patricia Hockensmith and Roseanne Anderson were also recognized as our soon to be retirees, and were presented with a gift.
