Dear Sigma Iota Xi at-Large Chapter Members, In the spirit of caring, compassion, and global service, we invite you to support a donation drive for communities affected by the recent devastating earthquake in Venezuela. Families have lost loved ones, homes, and access to essential resources, and there is an urgent need for medical supplies, food, hygiene products, shelter items, and children's necessities. Our nursing community has always answered the call to serve those in need, and even small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families working to rebuild their lives. We encourage members who are able to contribute to review the requested donation items listed in the accompanying graphic and consider supporting this humanitarian effort. Donations may be dropped off at NU 342 at Florida Atlantic University during regular office hours (Attn: Aloha Balza Montes). The Sigma Iota Xi at-Large Chapter extends our heartfelt thanks to all of our members who generously contributed to the 2026 Helping the Unhoused Initiative. Because of your compassion and commitment to caring, we were able to make a substantial donation to support individuals experiencing homelessness in our community through our partnership with The Caring Place/Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Center.
