ZAGREB, CROATIA – A new continuous professional development lecture, organized by the Croatian Alpha Alpha Gamma Chapter, was held on November 25, 2021 via the Zoom platform. Lecture titled ‘Small Stories on Big Science’ was given by Iva Takšić, prof. psych. from the University of Applied Health Sciences.
During the lecture, the importance of scientific research, publishing new discoveries and their integration into everyday practice was emphasized. "In order to improve the nursing profession, it is crucial to critically review the available information when making decisions and acquiring new knowledge and skills. Because of all the above, it is important to understand science and constantly strive for new knowledge", said Takšić.
As a part of the event, an induction ceremony of new chapter members was held prior to the lecture. Chapter president, doc.dr.sc. Snježana Čukljek, accepted four new members: the head nurse of the Department for Quality Assurance and Improvement of KBC Zagreb, Slađana Režić, MSc; senior nursing lecturer at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, Đurđica Grabovac, MSN; head nurse of KBC Zagreb, Ana Ljubas, MSc, head nurse of the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolic Diseases and Clinical Pharmacology KB Dubrava, Sanja Piškor, MSN and the head nurse of the Home for the Elderly "House of St. Francis“, Ankica Akrap, MSN.
