2026 Spring Call for Gamma Xi at-Large Chapter Request for Conference Support for Sigma’s International 37^th Nursing Research Congress

As the Research Chair for the Gamma Xi at-Large Chapter, I am excited to announce conference support available for those who have an accepted abstract at Sigma’s International 37^th Nursing Research Congress in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This initiative aligns with our Chapter’s mission to promote and support nursing research that enhances the scientific foundation of nursing and advances evidence-based practice.

We welcome requests for support from nurses who have an accepted poster or podium presentation. The total funding available will depend on the number of requests and the available balance in the Chapter's research fund. An applicant may be awarded up to $1,000, or an amount based on the budget allowance.

Submission deadline for requests is Friday, May 1, 2026.

This initiative aligns with our Chapter’s mission to promote and support nursing research that enhances the scientific foundation of nursing and advances evidence-based practice.

We welcome proposals on a wide range of topics. Funding decisions will primarily be based on the scientific or evidence-based merit of the application and its potential impact on nursing. The total funding available will depend on the number of requests, the funds requested, and the available balance in the Chapter's research fund. An applicant may be awarded up to $2,000, or an amount based on the budget allowance. Please ensure that your proposed budget reflects reasonable research costs.

Submission deadline for applications is Friday, May 1, 2026.

Dear Sigma Gamma Xi at-Large Chapter Members,

The 2026 Arkansas Nursing Research Day will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the UAMS Little Rock campus.

Student abstract submissions are now open.

Students at any educational level are invited to submit abstracts describing research, evidence-based practice projects, or scholarly reviews.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their scholarship and quality improvement projects and to engage with nursing researchers and educators from across Arkansas.

• Abstract submission deadline: March 31, 2026 (11:59 PM CT)

• Faculty approval deadline: April 3, 2026
