  • On May 16, 1980, the Epsilon Theta chapter became the 126 th chapter established by the STTI Honor Society of Nursing.
  • We are proud to represent nursing at The University of Texas at Austin with a global professional organization that values Scholarship, Leadership, and Service.
Goals of the chapter
  • We are committed with the nursing community to advancing these ideals and the Sigma values of Love, Courage, and Honor at the University and beyond.
  • We are dedicated to connecting nurses though leadership, volunteering, and research.

    Epsilon Nu chapter is excited to invite you to the upcoming inaugural Sigma Region 6 Spring into Action! Research and EBP Conference that promises to be an enriching and inspiring experience.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, gain valuable insights, and engage in meaningful discussions. Presenters will include the outstanding Dr. Sandra Bibb, President of Sigma.

    NurseTRUST Annual Summit | We’re inviting nurse leaders to submit abstracts that celebrate the power of discovery, the spark of inspiration, and the profound impact within the nursing profession!

    NurseTRUST brings together our nation’s nursing leaders across the domains of academia, practice, operations, community and population health, policy, and entrepreneurship. The Summit allows for relationship and community building in an intimate and connected setting.

    Deadline: 20 October 2024
    National Evidence-Based Practice Conference | Abstracts may be submitted for the following categories: EBP, synthesis reports, clinical research, nursing residency EBP, EBP final student project/capstone, and quality improvement.     Sigma invites abstracts for the 36th International Nursing Research Congress. Join us in Seattle, Washington, USA, from 17-20 July 2025, or virtually from 29-31 July 2025, and prepare to connect and engage with over 800 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders who are focused on evidence-based research.

    Sigma Repository is getting an upgrade

    In the next few months, the Sigma Repository will transition to a new platform called Elsevier Digital Commons, making it easier than ever to submit, browse, and track a work’s online influence. It will also feature select materials from Scopus and integrated searching across all Digital Commons repositories, expanded opportunities for groups to participate, and more. Learn more about the upgrade.

    Help us honor and acknowledge nurses around the world

    Nominations for the International Nurse Researcher Awards are open now through 11 December. Acknowledge nurse researchers whose early career or long-term research has impacted the nursing profession. Find out more information here.

    Two other awards are currently accepting nominations: Healthy Work Environment Awards (deadline extended to 12 September) and honorary membership.
