  • Spring 2025 Chapter Business Meeting

    Hello Beta Upsilon Chapter members!

    Please save the date for our Spring business meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 5 pm in ASU Health North building room 101/103.

    We will be packing snack bags for the Pitchfork Pantry.

  • Spring 2024 Induction Event Awards

    The Spring 2024 New member induction was held on Saturday, May 4th at the ASU Health Futures Center at 2 pm. The guest speaker was our recent ASU Graduate and Student Daisy award winner, Espy Biggs. She offered helpful advice to all our soon to be graduating nurse inductees.

    Excellence in Practice: Amber Austin

    Excellence in Leadership: Dr. Therese Speer

    Two scholarships for the outstanding awards were announced and presented at the induction.

    The Barbara Fargostein Ethics Award was presented by Phillip Fargostein to ASU nursing student, Johanna Hissler, for her Barrett Honors project work regarding the ethical considerations, costs, and needs for individuals needing lifesaving medications.

    The Mary Killeen Mentoring Award was presented by Karen Saewart to Dr. Pauline Komnenich for her abundant work as a mentor for the ASU faculty and students.

    A food drive for the Pitchfork Pantry was included with the event. Several food items were collected to be donated.

    Thank you to all members, faculty and family members who attended to make the event memorable for all our Spring 2024 inductees and award recipients!
