It’s that time again!
STTIOO is calling for nominations from the membership to fill several board and committee positions.
Open board positions include: President, Secretary and Director. This is a fun way to stay in touch with colleagues and help with the activities in our chapter. Being on the Board of Directors can help advance your career and build your professional resume. Volunteering with the Honor Society boosts your public profile and serving on a board of directors gets your name out in the public demonstrating leadership ability and community volunteer service. The time commitment is generally low, but the commitment to the team is high! Serving our chapter as a volunteer leader is an honor and a privilege.
The President serves as chief representative of the chapter in inter-chapter activities and participates as an ex-officio member of all committees except the Leadership Succession Committee. They help provide direction and encouragement to our local chapter along the mission of Sigma Theta Tau. The Secretary prepares and distributes meeting minutes and correspondence. The Director is an active participant on the Board of Directors and helps with planning and carrying out of the organization’s activities.
Additionally there will be opportunities to serve on committees that often meet around a specific activity such as leadership succession and nominations.
