Getting Started

Watch this three-minute video
to learn how to use The Circle, update your profile and subscribe to discussion groups.

  • Update your member profile and network with members similar to you!
Using the navigation tabs above, from "My Profile,” click on the arrow to the right to edit your photo, bio, certifications, areas of interest, education, and job history. This creates networks on the left-side that you can click through to see other members who have designated the same information.
  • Update your subscriptions and preferences
From "My Profile", click on “My Subscriptions” and “My Preferences” to update this important information. Your subscriptions keep you updated on discussion forums of interest, and your preferences determine what information is communicated to other STTI members in The Circle.
  • Start or comment on a discussion
Click on "Discussions" to see a list of discussion forums you can join. By clicking on the name of the forum, you can view a list of the recent threads, or post a new discussion of your own.
  • Interact with your chapter
Click on the “Chapters” tab above find an A-Z listing of the chapter websites. Visit your chapter website to connect with chapter leaders, post questions or comments, browse or add to the resource library, read through chapter news and announcements, and much more.  Or, click on the chapter link from your profile to access a quick look at your chapter's discussions, events and resource library.

  • Find friends
Visit the "Directory" to search for classmates, colleagues, members of your chapter, and other members you would like to network with virtually. When you select an individual, you can send them a direct message, and add them as a contact to have a continual connection.

  • Browse upcoming events
Search the "Events" calendar to search STTI international events, and events by chapter or location

  • Browse or join communities
