    Dear Colleagues,

    Thank you to all who submitted their proposals to Sigma Iota Xi Chapter at-Large Spring 2020 Research Night. We received several worthy proposals making it difficult to select our winners. However, after careful consideration our Sigma Iota Xi Chapter at-Large
    Research and Evidence-Based Practice Proposals funding awards go to:

    Melissa Johnston, RN, BSN, DNP student has been awarded a $750 grant from Sigma Iota Xi Chapter at-Large for her evidence-based practice
    proposal entitled, Program Evaluation of the use of Therapeutic Interactive Pets to Improve Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms and Cognitive Status in Participants at an Adult Day Center

    And

    Armiel Suriaga, BSN, MSN, PhD Candidate has been awarded a $750 grant from Sigma Iota Xi Chapter at-Large for his research proposal entitled: A Multi-year Investigation of the Socio-Clinical Factors of
    Opioid-Related Deaths Among Older Adults in Florida
