Criteria: (candidate should excel in three or more)
- member of Sigma Theta Tau International Epsilon Theta Chapter
- Documented success in conducting distinguished nursing research
- Communicates research findings effectively
- Gives evidence of a history of research activities
- Evidence of mentoring junior researchers
- Encourages research activities within STTI, nursing, and/or the public

- Participates in the development of nursing leaders and leadership

Epsilon Theta Student Scholarships
Guidelines for Undergraduate Travel Grant
The purpose of the undergraduate travel grant is to recognize and support outstanding scholarship in undergraduate nursing students who are advancing knowledge in the areas of nursing science and practice.
Criteria
- Must be an undergraduate nursing student conducting research under the supervision of a faculty member.
- Members of Epsilon Theta Chapter will be given preference all else being equal.
- Must complete the Undergraduate Travel Grant Application form.
- Must provide a one page essay indicating how participating in the research activity will enhance nursing science and the profession of nursing.
- Must submit two letters of recommendation: one from faculty members and one from a professional associate
- A resume/curriculum vitae is suggested

Student Scholarship Guidelines
The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize outstanding scholarship by nursing students who are advancing knowledge in the areas of nursing science and practice.

Criteria:
- Enrolled in a Baccalaureate, Master, or Doctoral program in nursing
- Complete the Student Scholarship application form.
- Provide a written statement of personal and professional goals that describe scholarly activities
- Submit two letters of recommendation: one from faculty members and one from a professional associate
- A resume/curriculum vitae is suggested
basis for :
- Quality of written goals
- Contribution or potential contribution to nursing and public benefit
- Scholarship fund budget and number of proposals submitted
The Award amount varies based on of qualified applicants and funds available

Call for Research Proposals
Epsilon Theta Chapter presents a research grant opportunity.
Purpose: This research grant is designed to recognize and support nurses advancing nursing science and practice.
Funding: Funds for research awards are provided by the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
Applications will not be accepted after March 8, 2024. Requests cannot exceed $750. Awards will be announced at the Induction of New Members meeting in Spring 2024.
Eligibility
- Formal preparation in the conduct of nursing research
- Baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing, or nursing student in a higher degree program in nursing with direct
supervision of a qualified faculty member
- Members of Epsilon Theta Chapter will be given preference all else being equal
- Epsilon Theta Chapter board members and members of the Scholarship & Grants committee are not eligible to apply
Review Criteria:
All submissions will undergo blind review by Sigma Theta Tau Epsilon Theta Research Committee.
- Applications will be reviewed based on the quality of the written proposal.
- Additionally, each application will be evaluated on the basis of merit to the profession of nursing and relevance to
the research mission of Sigma Theta Tau Epsilon Theta Chapter.
- Applications are limited to one (1) per Primary Investigator
