Greetings!
My name is Norman Olsen, and I am excited to be one of the facilitators for this discussion forum. I currently live in Lakeland, Florida. My husband and I have lived in the mountains of NW Georgia (Rabun County), Atlanta, Jacksonville, Sarasota, St. Thomas V.I., Costa Rica, and Key West. Key West was our home for 20 years during the very worse of the AIDS crisis. I have been a RN since 1984, and I am board certified in advanced holistic nursing (AHN-BC). I have a DNP (from Chamberlain), and my doctoral project focused on the use of mindfulness meditation to improve nursing leadership abilities. I currently teach Integrative Nursing as well as Genetics and Nursing Ethics for Rasmussen University,
I believe the biggest challenges currently facing the LGBTQI community include the health, wellness, and safety of the transgender community.
