LGBTQ+ Health Community

Hi everyone! My name is Heather and I'm a mom baby nurse in Lakeland, Florida. In red state, it's often uncomfortable for my patients within the community. I aspire to produce caring and compassionate care for my LGBTQ+ patients.

Thank you for posting. Being an ally and creating a safe space where patients can feel comfortable and honest about their health is integral to their lives and ensuring safe care. Many in the community are scared right now, and it is voices like nurses and others in healthcare and public health that can provide the advocacy and support those in the LGBTQ+ community need.
