Good Tuesday afternoon, everyone!
I am honored to be invited to join the LBTQ Community. I am a Professor Emerita of Nursing at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY. Passionate about mentoring, I served as mentor and as Mentor Advisor at the ANA Mentorship Program; as project director of PNANY Formal Nurse Mentoring Project; and as current chair, Philippine Nurses Association of America Patnubay sa Pagtatagumpay (Guidance for Success) Mentoring Program Steering Committee.
I hold fellowships (and membership at the Expert Panel on Health Equity) at the American Academy of Nursing; at New York Academy of Medicine; and at the Transcultural Nursing Society Scholars. I am the author of two transcultural nursing books and numerous book chapters and articles.
I am a consultant in cultural diversity, health equity, and promotion of cultural competence; accreditation; and curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. I have presented locally, regionally, nationally, and globally about these topics. My educational background consists of a BS in Nursing from the Philippine Women's University; an MS in Adult Nursing from Pace University; and an EdD from Teachers College, Columbia University.
