I started my career as a Ward Clerk in the Emergency Room of The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. I then took an EKG course and became a Telemetry Tech. I then enrolled in the ADN Program at HCC and completed that degree, married and started my family. I continued to take courses part time and then enrolled in the RN to BSN Program at UTMB. I have since graduated there and am currently reviewing several programs to begin my MSN. While pursing my education I have also worked full time in Med Surg, Tele, and CCU. I also did several years of home health infusion and became certified in PICC insertion. I worked in Infusion Care as a staff nurse and an educator and now teach PICC Insertion, IV Certification for LVNs, offer CE Programs, Nurse Remediation for Peer Review and BON stipulations and RN Nurse Refresher course didactic and clinicals throughout Texas. I also volunteer with a Wellness Program at my church and work clinically in Occupational Health providing Immunizations, Titer & Drug Testing.
