Join us via Zoom on Thursday, February 26th at 6 pm PST to hear Dr. Stone present about Fulbright Opportunities for Nursing Faculty and Professionals. No cost, 1 free CE (CEP # 15957-California State University, Chico School of Nursing).

Learning Objectives: 

• Comprehend the mission of the Fulbright program and how it applies to nursing.
• Outline the goals of the Fulbright program.
• Understand opportunities for nurses of the Fulbright program.
• Compare different Fulbright programs for nursing faculty and professionals, and the qualifications for each.
• Recognize implicit bias as a risk in identifying projects for Fulbright funding consideration.

Biography: 

Dr. Stone is a recipient of the 2024-25 CSU Chico Outstanding Faculty Award. With a research portfolio spanning continents and discipline, Dr. Stone has become one of the globe's leading voices in food tourism. Dr. Stone has published 18 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the last five years, including seven in top-tier journals. Over their academic career, they have amassed 16 A-level publications. Dr. Stone was a 2019 Fulbright Scholar at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland and has taught in Italy, Austria, and Lithuania and is currently serving as the Chico State campus Fulbright Liaison.

Mark your calendars for Kappa Omicron meetings for Spring/Summer 2026:

Board meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every other month but will now have a start time of 6 pm.  For spring/summer 2026 (prior to summer 2026 annual planning meeting), the dates  and times of the board meetings will be:

·         March 10, 2026,  6-7 pm

·         May 12, 2026,  6-7 pm

·         July 7, 2026,  6-7 pm

There will be two general/educational meetings for members this spring:

·         Wednesday Feb. 11, Changed to February 26th, 2026,  6:00-7:00 pm

·         Wednesday April 29, 2026,   6:30 pm
