As the president of the Rho Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing, I would like to congratulate you on your academic accomplishments and share the wonderful benefits of joining CSUSB's Rho Beta chapter. There are many benefits to being a Sigma nurse and we have an info-session/"snack-n-chat" Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in CGI 110 to share some slides and answer questions about membership in the international honor society of nursing. The flyer below has the zoom link if you are unable to come in person.

Snacks will be provided, and all questions/concerns will be addressed.

As the Vice President of the Rho Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, I am pleased to invite you to our upcoming “Snack and Chat” session. This event is intended for nursing students in the PLBSN, CEP, RN-BSN, and MSN programs who have been invited or are interested in becoming members of the Rho Beta Chapter.

During the Spring 2026 semester, the Rho Beta induction ceremony will take place at the San Bernardino campus in April 2026 (additional details will be shared at a later date). In advance of the induction, this information session will provide an overview of the Rho Beta Chapter, explain membership eligibility categories, and offer an opportunity to ask questions. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Dear Chapter members,

I would like to extend my congratulations to all our new members for accepting the invite to join our chapter of the second largest nursing organization with over 135,000 members in the world. For those who were able to attend our induction on April 19^th in San Bernardino or on November 23rd in Palm Desert, we hope you enjoyed the ceremony as we honored your achievements. A shout out to our leadership who attended as well and our organizers for the event.

I am writing also to share a link to discover the opportunities your membership offers, invite you to inquire about leadership openings through our leadership succession committee, and also to ensure that you have received your official certificate from Sigma in the mail. Sigma takes about 30 days from the date of the induction for you to actually receive your certificate in the mail. If you have not received it, you can call the Sigma home number on their website to request a new one. Their number is 888.634.7575 (US/Canada toll-free).

For those who attended the induction, chords were distributed as a gift from the chapter for your attendance. For those who would like to purchase chords for graduation, please reach out to me via email (alama@csusb.edu) as I will have chords at the SBC pinning ceremony and can facilitate chords for the PDC pinning as well. I will need to know by Wednesday, 5/14 and they are $20.
