  • Thank you letter from DAPI

On behalf of the Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc., thank you for participating in our 2025

Adopt a DAPI Sussex Family Gift Drive. Your generous donation of holiday gifts for a DAPI

Daughter and her child allowed us to go above and beyond our mission of providing supportive

services and empowering young families in our community.

One of the greatest rewards of our work is knowing we have made a meaningful difference in

the lives of those we serve. Your kindness had a direct and positive impact on our DAPI

Daughter and her child, and we want you to know how deeply your support is appreciated.

Your generosity will truly be remembered.

Your contribution helps keep DAPI at the forefront of services for pregnant and parenting teen

girls. Thank you for your continued commitment to our organization. Once again, we extend

    our sincere gratitude.

    Sincerely,

    Doris L. P. Griffin, Ed.D.

  • Student shares about Tri-State Consortium Experience

Thank you to the Sigma members at Salisbury University for sponsoring my attendance to this year's Tri-State Consortium at the University of Delaware. It was a highly enriching experience as we heard from two phenomenal speakers who are prominent nursing figures in the healthcare field, in two very distinct disciplines.
While I enjoyed both presentations, I was able to connect deeply with Christina Gamez who works at the Health Sanctuary where she's able to incorporate holistic healthcare approaches in her work as a nurse through her background in reiki and yoga. Hearing Ms. Gamez's story on how she lost her son and turned her healing journey into a way to expand her expertise and career as a nurse in order to help those in similar circumstances was truly inspiring and empowering.
Through the lectures and discussions, we had on resilience we were also able to receive 3 certification hours in cultivating resilience & self-care. I was also able to connect with two other students who are looking to enter Salisbury's nursing program in the coming year.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I am thankful to have had this opportunity!
