  • Celebrate Founder's Day

    In 1922, six student nurses founded Sigma at what is now the Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Every year on 5 October, the organization celebrates Founders Day – a time to reflect on our beginnings and our name Sigma Theta Tau, meaning love, courage, and honor.  As part of her Call to Action, President Beth Baldwin Tigges has invited all Sigma members to participate in 90 minutes of service in your community.
