The 45th Biennial Convention was held in Washington DC in mid-November. The number of individuals attending the convention was 1,948 or 2,166 counting the exhibitors. Dr. Liz Sturgeon and Dr. Dawn Garrett-Wright presented results of their research at convention. A total of 853 delegates attended the convention and Dr. Sturgeon and Dr. Susan Jones served in the role of delegate. Dr. Jones was inspired by the comments of the incoming President of Sigma, Dr. Richard Riccaiardi. In his call to action, Dr. Riccaiardi challenged all nurses to focus on infusing JOY in nursing and the culture of healthcare!
