Our community focus for the Lambda Epsilon Meeting on March 22nd is Mobile Mutts Rescue.
Mobile Mutts Rescue takes dogs from high kill shelters and works with no-kill shelters, foster homes and in some cases, they are already adopted and are transported to their new home. They work with pet stores and other local places to have adoptions and the work with local TV stations and air a weekly dog called "Pet on Set" to try to get them adopted. They transport every weekend and sometimes even on holiday weekends if there is a high-risk rescue. Typically they transport anywhere between 10-17 dogs a weekend. Some of these dogs have been beaten, severally abused, gunshot wounds, malnourished, skinny starving mommas with puppies, and senior dogs with health needs.
