  • Greetings in this New Year!

Greetings and Happy New Year to all Kappa Theta members. May the new year bring “joy” to both your personal and professional life.

Kappa Theta ended 2019 in the spirit of support and giving. The chapter supplied “goodies” to WKU nursing students during the final examination week that is known to be stressful for many (See attached photo). Dr. Dawn Garrett-Wright volunteered at the 41st annual Trees of Christmas event from 2-4 pm December 19th at the Eloise B Houchens Center in Bowling Green, KY. Thanks to the WKU retired nursing faculty members, Kappa Theta donated many hats, scarves, and gloves to keep our local children warn this winter (See attached photo).

Please join me in extending congratulations to our own Dr. Elizabeth Groves. Elizabeth applied and was accepted for Sigma’s Nightingale Challenge.

Nurses selected for this recognition will be offered the following special perks during 2020, which is the Year of the Nurse and Midwife:
    • A day at the United Nations (UN), hosted by Sigma’s UN youth representatives.

    • The Transformational Leadership online continuing nursing education course, worth 1.6 contact hours.
