We are opening nominations for officers for the Lambda Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, including the offices of Secretary, Leadership Succession Committee members, Counselor, and Governance Committee members. Please note that the officers' descriptions are included in this email for your reference. Active members only may participate in the nomination and election process. Please consider nominating yourself or another active member. Nominations will be closed April 21st. You will be sent an email with a link to an electronic ballot in May. Officer Descriptions:
Secretary:
The secretary prepares and distributes meeting minutes and any correspondence that is needed by the chapter.
Leadership Succession:
The Leadership Succession Committee shall develop members in organizational leadership roles across the span of their careers, mentor members to assume organizational board and officer positions at all levels of the organization. The committee shall select nominees and prepare the ballot.
Counselor:
A counselor shall be a member of the faculty at the institution of higher education where the chapter is located. The counselor is the 4th member of the Governance Committee and oversees chapter membership eligibility issues.
Governance Committee:
The GC shall oversee bylaws compliance, make recommendations for bylaws changes and oversee member and chapter eligibility issues.
