A stormy night with thunder,
Making me feel terrified, lonely and sad,
Past memories flowing off my mind
Reminding me of my wonderful days,
When I was hale and hearty,
No pains, no sorrows, nothing to worry for,
But now on this bed, I feel like sinking and dipping
Look someone came and held my hand,
Touched my heart and whispered in my ears,
Good morning, I’m your nurse for the day,
How can I help you,
The warmth, care and the tender voice,
Touched my heart and soul,
Made me feel exceptional and whole,
secure, safe and heeded
But who was she!
My caretaker, a passionate and caring nurse,
With her healing touch, she took me out of my painful world.
