As a recent recipient of a Sigma Theta Tau Small Grant, I would like to briefly share how the grant helped us conduct a pilot study to begin important research into caring practice. The funds from Sigma Theta Tau allowed us to provide a six week educational experience for undergraduate nursing students called the "Caring Studio Experience (CSE)".  The grant helped us to collaborate with the Theatre Department to develop care studies, which were an integral part of the CSE.  In addition, the funds afforded the opportunity to thank the students for their participation and provide an ideal setting for the experience.  The students really enjoyed the experience and gained essential knowledge to help them improve their caring practice and quality and safety competencies.  We would like to once again thank Sigma Theta Tau for helping to make this study a success!

If you have any questions or would like additional information about the study, please contact abele@oakland.edu.   Thank you!
