Prof. Annamaria Bagnasco of the Department of Health Sciences (DiSSal) of the University of Genoa and Prof. Loredana Sasso, President of Alpha Alpha Beta Chapter of Sigma International, are leading a study on the prevalence of violence aimed at Italian nurses in the workplace (ViolenCE AgainSt nursEs In The workplace: a multicenter, descriptive-analytic observational study (CEASE-IT Study)
The CEASE-IT study includes 9 leading Nursing professors from 9 Italian universities will include about 4600 nurses from larger health organizations distributed throughout the country will be included. The study received a co-funding from the Italian Regulator for Nursing Professions (FNOPI). The data collected through a multidimensional survey aims to define the factors that facilitate violence and provide the basis for the development of a national policy document on violence against nurses in the workplace
