Each year Gamma Nu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau provides a Christmas Dinner, gift cards and small gift bags to the (previously homeless) women living at Magnificat Home in Jersey City. Each year we reach out to you for your donations and we appreciate your ongoing generosity.
Monetary donations of any amount are welcome and should be payable to Gamma Nu Chapter. They may be sent directly to Carmen Cruz-Torres (Treasurer) at 300 Valley Brook Ave., Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. Donations are used to purchase the dinner and Walmart Gift Cards for each woman.
Thank you very much for your support.
We are kicking off this Fall with a book of poetry for nurses, by a nurse. The author, Susan J. Farese, MSN, RN is an alumnus of Seton Hall's MSN program. She will do a poetry reading with us, as well as providing a Haiku experience. She has done this for other University graduate nursing students. Her book is an exciting collection of 40 freeform poetry which is a sharing of both professional and personal thoughts and feelings. Susan is a strong advocate of the creative use of poetry to express the wonderment, frustration, dedication, and the love of nurses for their profession and their patients. To register for this event contact Pat Hubert, at patmhubert@gmail.com To order the book see below:
