Greetings SIGMA Beta Beta Dallas Chapter Members,

We are delighted to announce that we have Research Grants, Scholarship Awards, and Excellence in Nursing Awards available to our members. The applications, plus the completed file called 2025-2026 Biographical Sheet are due on September 30, 2026.

·         The Research Grants are available for involved Beta Beta Chapter members (i.e., attend 2-chapter meetings, active committee member, or Board member) to foster research and to provide financial support for both new and experienced nurse researchers, who are beginning new areas of research. The criteria for this grant application can be found in the files called Research Grant Award 2026 and Research Agreement Form 2026.

·         The Scholarship Awards are available to nurses who are involved Beta Beta Chapter members (i.e., attend 2-chapter meetings, active committee, or Board member) of the Beta Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.  The purpose of the awards is to recognize outstanding scholarships by qualified nurses that will advance knowledge in nursing science and practice. The criteria and application for this award can be found in the file called Scholarship Award 2026.

·         The Excellence in Nursing Awards are available to recognize active Beta Beta members who consistently practice excellence in a clinical setting, in nursing education, and/or nursing leadership.  The criteria and application for these awards are listed in the file called Excellent Award 2026.

Hello Members! 

We have a research study that would like your participation if you meet the criteria: 

NIH-Funded Opportunity: Asthma Survey for Ages 12–21
Professors from Texas Woman’s University invite individuals aged 12–21 who have asthma to take a short online survey (about 20–30 minutes) to help improve asthma care for youth. Participants receive a $15 Amazon gift card.
Consent details:
• Parents of youth 12–17 must scan the QR code and complete parental consent.
• Youth 12–17 must scan the QR code and complete the assessment.
• Young adults 18–21 scan the QR code and complete their own consent (no parent consent needed).
