Hello XI-Alpha at Large Chapter
Sigma is committed to making a difference worldwide. For our chapter, that includes helping those in need at our own University. Collecting food for those in need is the MTSU Xi Alpha chapter of Sigma's way to celebrate Founders Day; a day when we exemplify the meaning of the society – love, courage, and honor. A food collection box will be set up downstairs outside of CKNB124, across from the student break room for your convenience.
The goal of the MTSU Food Pantry is to help students in need during their time at MTSU. Xi Alpha chapter of Sigma is asking for your help collecting non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food items for donation to the Food Pantry between NOW
and October 9th. A list of needed & acceptable items can be found below and at
MTSU Food Pantry.
From the MTSU Food Pantry Website:
We will keep this site updated to reflect needs. As we run low on a particular item, we will highlight them, but will gladly accept donations outside of the current “high need”. We will also include which items we currently have well stocked. Please keep in mind that donations should include non-perishable items that can be easily prepared or eaten as packaged.
We also accept small personal care and some household items (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.) which are in high need.
The Pantry is in great need of gluten and dairy free products at this time.

As an alternative means of donation, you can donate to the food pantry through their online wishlist:
MTSU Food Pantry Wishlist. The food you order will be sent directly to the food pantry. If you donate through the wishlist, please mention that it is on behalf of the School of Nursing's Xi Alpha Chapter.
