12th Annual Palliative Care Symposium

When:  Apr 18, 2020 from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM (PT)
Associated with  Gamma Tau at-Large Chapter
The journey of Palliative Care and Hospice includes the Culture and Spiritual Beliefs of the patient, caregivers and healthcare providers. These elements can provide an opportunity to honor our patients and their loved ones, and to individualize their care. Tragically, they can also contribute to anxiety and confusion, particularly where issues such as pain management, existential suffering and bereavement come into play. This year’s Palliative Symposium seeks to address the uniqueness of Culture and Spiritual Beliefs through the lens of multiple specialties, and to offer tools and strategies to optimize the care provided throughout the pathway of long-term illness and the dying process.
