Recipients of the 2015 Inaugural Lucile Petry Leone Research Grant 

Colleen Brand, neonatal nurse practitioner at Texas Children's Hospital, who received $2,500 for her project “Comparison of Sites and Timing for Detection of Urea Plasma Colonization or Infection in Premature Infants;”

Sabrenda Littles, doctoral of nursing science candidate at TWU, who received $1,000 for her work on “PTSD and Its Impact on Life, An Intimate Partner’s Perspective;” and

Angeles Nava, a post doctoral research fellow in nursing at TWU, who received $500 for her project “Perception of Domestic Violence and Access to Resources Among Women Living in Communities in Lima, Peru.”

In 2015, STTI Beta Beta Houston awarded the first annual Lucile Petry Leone Research Grant funding. The purpose of the award is to facilitate independent or team nursing scholarship.
